Evaluation in Real Time and Online

Evaluating transactions within a "real time" framework is done via an interface between Sentinel and the authorization system.

The institution's authorization system signals a Web Service to send the transaction data through an XML markup. Sentinel sends the evaluation response again to the authorizing system so it can continue the process and determine if the transaction is approved or denied.

A transaction's online evaluation is done after the transaction's authorization, within a timeframe that can last from a few seconds to a few minutes, according to how the client has set it up.

Transactions are sent to the Sentinel database and are evaluated immediately by the rules and/or neural engines.
